The global automotive sector is facing perhaps its greatest challenge yet, as the climate emergency demands a rapid transition toward net-zero carbon emissions. Many governments globally are formulating plans that will accelerate the introduction of zero emission vehicles (ZEV) to replace internal combustion engine (ICE) technology. In South Korea, a ZEV Policy has been in operation since 2021 to support ZEV purchase subsidies and the buildout of charging infrastructure. As of 2024, policy improvements to help achieve the national electric vehicle (EV) supply goal are ongoing.
This invite-only event will gather leading stakeholders in the global automotive industry to discuss regulatory trends in the decarbonization of the automotive sector and proactive responses and leadership from the South Korean government and automotive industry.
