InfluenceMap’s FinanceMap program assesses financial institutions’ climate performance by comparing net-zero targets to strategy, financing and investments, stewardship, and policy engagement. The platform is used extensively by shareholders, policymakers, media, and the financial sector itself, with particular relevance to asset owners.
In this webinar, the FinanceMap team will overview our methodologies for assessing financial institutions’ climate performance, cover recent trends in the sector, and highlight recent and upcoming projects, including assessments of banks, asset managers, and climate-related funds. Our team will be joined by Tracey Rembert, Associate Director, Climate Change & Environmental Justice, at Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, who will speak on ICCR's work on shareholder proposals at banks and how FinanceMap's data can continue to contribute to these efforts.
This webinar is open to all interested in financial institutions’ climate performance, including assessed institutions, investors, civil society, academics, and others.
Attendees will gain a broad understanding of how finance is performing on climate change, including (mis)alignment with net-zero goals. Financial companies, in particular, will gain insights on how FinanceMap assesses the sector and how key stakeholders have used the analysis. In-depth Q&A with the speakers will follow the presentation.
