Since South Korea's pledge to achieve '2050 Carbon Neutrality' in 2020, the country hasannounced a 2050 Carbon Neutrality Scenario in 2021 and increased the ambition of its 2030 NDC target. With the transition to a net-zero society beginning in earnest, this webinar is a multi-stakeholder discussion to generate ideas on policy changes needed in the short/medium terms for South Korea to achieve and exceed these targets. A focus of the discussion will be on the role of companies for renewable energy policy innovation, including introducing best practice of climate policy leadership from markets such as the US, EU, and Japan. The webinar will discuss pathways towards strong renewable energy policy in South Korea, and provide practical insights for various stakeholders including Korean corporates.
